Terms of Service

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing and using the ReadMore mobile application, website, and services (collectively, the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ReadMore, SC Innovations ("ReadMore," "we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the Service.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

ReadMore is a personal reading tracking service that provides:

• Add books manually or by ISBN to your personal library
• Track reading progress (Currently Reading, Want to Read, Read, Abandoned)
• Take notes, highlights, and annotations on your books
• View reading statistics and analytics
• Secure Firebase Authentication for account management

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

3. USER ACCOUNTS

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account using Firebase Authentication. When you register, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password and identification
• Accept all responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. BOOK INFORMATION AND CONTENT

ReadMore allows you to add books to your personal library. When you add books:

• You may add books manually or by ISBN number
• Book information (titles, authors, covers) may be retrieved from third-party book databases
• You retain ownership of your personal notes, annotations, and reading data
• You are responsible for the accuracy of book information you manually enter

ReadMore does not claim ownership of any book content, covers, or metadata. All book information is provided for personal tracking purposes only.

5. USER CONTENT

You retain all rights to any content you create, upload, or store using the Service, including:

• Reading notes and annotations
• Personal reviews and ratings
• Reading progress and statistics
• Custom book information you manually add

By using the Service, you grant ReadMore a license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

6. USER CONDUCT

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others, including copyright and intellectual property rights
• Upload or share content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or any other systems or networks
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our express written consent

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ReadMore and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software, unless laws prohibit those restrictions or you have our written permission.

Book covers, descriptions, and metadata displayed in the Service are the property of their respective copyright holders. ReadMore does not claim ownership of such content.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, READMORE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Any loss or corruption of your reading data, notes, or content
• Any conduct or content of third parties on the Service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
• Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through the Service

9. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ReadMore and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, actions, or demands, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, alleging or resulting from your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

10. TERMINATION

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or contact us to request account deletion. Upon account deletion, your reading data, notes, and statistics will be permanently deleted.

11. CHANGES TO TERMS

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ReadMore operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
